Care Conversations 1 — Personal Care BE

Conversation practice for the most personal and sensitive part of care work — communicating with residents during bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Dignity and communication in personal care

Personal care conversations require a very specific kind of language — warm, clear, respectful, and never rushed. The resident needs to know what's happening, feel in control of their own body, and trust that their privacy is protected. Getting this language right is what separates good care from excellent care.
