Babysitter Conversations 2

More conversation practice for babysitters and nannies — answering parent questions confidently in English.

Vocabulary in context

Every parent has their own style, their own anxieties, and their own way of asking questions — and as a nanny or babysitter, you have to be ready for all of them. Some will text you every hour; others won't contact you until they're on their way home. What stays constant is the need to give clear, calm, reassuring answers in English when they do check in. This exercise focuses on the kinds of questions that come up most: about the child's mood, what they ate, whether anything unusual happened, and what the plan is for the rest of the day. Getting these exchanges right doesn't just make the job easier — it's the foundation of a working relationship that parents will recommend to everyone they know, and that recommendation is worth more than any job listing.
